VIDEO PRODUCER
My success as a video producer is due — in large part — to my ability to collaborate and lead a group of reporters, editors and videographers toward a common goal. I scout and secure sites, write scripts and assist with every aspect of shoots from lugging equipment, setting up shots and monitoring audio.
Orlando Sentinel Snapshot videos took a deep dive into different aspects of Central Florida. Our team earned two regional Emmy nominations for our work covering space and tourism. Coverage of the one-year anniversary of the Pulse massacre
was part of the entry that won the Sentinel an Emmy.
The Pulse massacre was one of the hardest news events I've covered because it wasn't just a news event. It was my community suffering. I am most proud of the work my colleagues and I did in the months that followed that terrible night. This video that I produced earned an Emmy nomination.
VIDEO BRIEFS
I tape and edit video briefs daily. From breaking news to a theme park reporter tallying how much it would cost to buy one of every item at the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, I've done a video brief on just about every topic.
